Renowned Assamese singer Zubeen Garg has tragically passed away at the age of 52 following a scuba diving accident in Singapore. He was in Singapore to participate in the North East India Festival and was scheduled to perform there. During the scuba diving activity, he experienced breathing difficulties underwater and was rescued by the Singapore police.
Despite immediate CPR efforts and being rushed to the Singapore General Hospital's ICU, he could not be revived and was declared dead around 2.30 pm Indian Standard Time.Zubeen Garg was celebrated for his versatile singing career spanning Assamese, Bengali, and Hindi music industries.
